  1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.

  2. Double Click the Network Connections icon.

  3. Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and click Properties from the pop-up menu.

  4. Uncheck the box next to File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
  5. Click the OK button.

  6. Close all windows.
