Sunshine for Humanity, Inc.
History
Sunshine for Humanity, Inc. actually started in the mind of Debbie Johnson when she went to Vietnam  in 2005.  Debbie Johnson is a professional clown who went to Vietnam to spread a bit of sunshine.

On her first visit, which included several hospitals and three orphanages, she knew that God had sent her aboard for a specific reason.  When in Vietnam she witnessed many difficulties for "normal" children but the burden of the disabled or disfigured and sickly  children overwhelmed her.

Debbie started a scholarship fund with a local mission team but due to the differences in goals she decided to work on her own forming her non-profit Christian Mission work.

First mission:

After much work Debbie Johnson and Maria Villanueva went to Vietnam in 2006 and brought  Bon Lam to America.  Bon Lam had lived in the orphanage for ten years and needed his face reconstructed.  He currently is living with Debbie and her husband, Dale.

Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota has funded all surgeries thus far, three have already been performed. Bon is only half way through his process.  His next surgeries will involve his jaw and teeth.
